Auction prices typically set benchmarks for Australian Artists and their works. Over the last decade Australian Art prices have seen solid increases across the board. The two tables below feature the Highest Prices
Highest Prices achieved at Auction in 2007, and secondly some selections that have seen stunning results, where the realised price far exceeded the pre-sale estimates. This table is especially interesting insofar as it demonstrates what can be achieved through careful Art selection and experienced advice. These tables are updated regularly.
Highest Prices achieved at Auction in 2007. The top sale for 2007 has been John Brack's "The Old Time". Dwyer Fine Art was the successful bidder, paying $3.36 million.
